Buitengoed Fredeshiem is the perfect destination for an unforgettable holiday in beautiful Overijssel! Our spacious semi-detached holiday villas are ideal for groups of 2 to 8 people, but we also offer the option to rent both villas. This gives you space for up to 20 people! As a result, our holiday villas are perfect for family weekends, getaways with friends, or business meetings. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the luxurious amenities our villas have to offer.

Is Buitengoed Fredeshiem child-friendly?
Children are more than welcome! For this reason, you can also rent cots. Our small-scale holiday park has a small playground and a ping-pong table. In addition, we have 14 hectares of woodland where children can run free.
How accessible is the location?
Buitengoed Fredeshiem is easily and quickly accessible by car via the A32 (exit Steenwijk). If you wish to travel by train, you can get off at Steenwijk station. From there, you can take a taxi to our estate.
Route:
From the A32 motorway, take exit 6: Steenwijk and follow the Eesveenseweg towards Eesveen. Go straight ahead at both roundabouts and after the second roundabout, turn left onto the Bultweg. At the end of this road, keep left at the Y-junction. Then take the first street on the right and you will drive onto our estate. The car park is located on the right-hand side.

How can I pay?
You can pay with the most common debit and credit cards. We also accept cash. For security reasons, we do not accept banknotes of €200 or higher.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
You can check in between 15:00 and 17:30. Planning to arrive later? That is of course possible, please contact us.
You can check out between 08:30 and 10:00. Need to check out earlier? No problem! Just let us know.

What are the facilities for guests with disabilities?
We are accessible to everyone! Both our restaurants and toilets are accessible for guests with disabilities. The paths in the woodland are reasonably flat but may or may not be wheelchair accessible depending on the weather. We have some rooms that are more spacious in layout, but no specific disabled-accessible rooms.
Are there cycling and walking routes?
Due to our location in the middle of nature, there are numerous cycling routes in our area. Various cycling routes are available at the reception. You can also plan beautiful routes using the junction network.
Can you also rent and/or charge bicycles?
Both regular and electric bicycles are available for hire at our reception. In addition, there is the option to charge bicycles in our car park. There is no charging point in our bicycle storage.
Is there a covered bicycle storage?
We have a covered bicycle storage. When there is sufficient space, you can store your bicycle here. There is no charging point in the bicycle storage and it is not locked at night. It is not possible to reserve spaces.
Are dogs welcome?
Dogs are allowed almost everywhere on our grounds, provided they do not cause any nuisance. (Not in the pancake farm)
A maximum of 2 dogs per room/accommodation are permitted.
A supplement per night is charged for your four-legged friend’s stay.
Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and any mess must be cleaned up on our estate. This way we keep it enjoyable for everyone!
Dogs are also not allowed on our furniture. We are happy to put out a bowl of water for your dog and look forward to meeting them!
Are other pets welcome?
In principle, a lot is possible in consultation, provided no nuisance is caused.

Who can have breakfast and at what time?
Everyone is welcome to join us for breakfast daily. Breakfast is regularly served between 08:00 and 10:00. Please note that breakfast times may occasionally vary.
What are the reception opening hours?
Our regular reception opening hours are 08:30 to 17:30.
During the winter months, these hours may differ.
Parking
You can park free of charge in our car park. Our holiday park is car-free, meaning it is not possible to park next to the accommodation. We also have 4 charging points for electric vehicles.
Tourist tax
In the municipality of Steenwijkerland, we are required to charge tourist tax. In addition, we charge a small service fee. Both the service fee and the tourist tax can be paid upon check-in.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Free Wi-Fi is available both in the hotel and throughout the holiday park. Due to our unique location in the woodland, the internet can sometimes be a little slow. Unfortunately, this is beyond our control.
What type of beds are there?
You will fully unwind on our wonderful boxspring beds. Unfortunately, the double boxspring beds cannot be separated. Our regular double rooms and villa rooms are fitted with kingsize beds. In the smallest room, you will rest on a queensize bed. Each bed comes with 2 single duvets.
What are the restaurant opening hours?
The regular opening hours during peak season are 08:00 to 22:00.
The kitchen is open from 11:00 to 20:00.
During the winter months, opening hours may differ.

Is there a pancake farm?
Yes! Our pancake farm is called “De Huiskamer van Fredeshiem”.

Can I reserve a table in advance?
Of course! You can reserve a table on our website (www.fredeshiem.nl). We are also happy to assist you by phone!
Is smoking permitted?
Under Dutch law, smoking is not permitted in the hotel or in the accommodations.
Can we get married at your venue?
Yes! How wonderful! We would love to sit down with you to put together a fully tailor-made day.
I have a dietary requirement, can I still dine at your restaurant?
Absolutely! We prepare dishes based on dietary requirements on a daily basis. Please contact us to be sure! It is necessary that we are informed of your wishes at least 1 day in advance.
Can I arrange a funeral at your venue?
We organise funerals several times a year and are happy to discuss the possibilities with you (and the funeral director).
Are staff available 24 hours a day?
Since our manager lives on the premises, someone is reachable in the event of an emergency, even during the night. Upon check-in, we will be happy to explain how you can reach them.
Can I also contact you via WhatsApp?
You can also reach us via WhatsApp using our regular number. We answer your questions between 09:00 and 17:00.

Can you rent towels?
Yes! Towel packages are available for hire at our reception. You can collect these during your stay. They can of course also be ordered in advance.
Is it mandatory to use bed linen?
For hygiene reasons, it is mandatory to hire bed linen during your stay at our holiday park. It is therefore not possible to bring your own bed linen.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
When staying in a holiday home or villa, you will be required to pay a deposit as a guarantee. This can be paid upon check-in. Unfortunately, it is not possible to collect a key without having paid the deposit.
When will I get my deposit back?
You will receive your deposit back once you have met the conditions described in the welcome brochure, which you will receive upon check-in. The deposit will be refunded within approximately 14 days.
Am I allowed to barbecue?
In principle, yes! However, we must adhere to the rules set by the safety region, which may impose a fire ban during periods of drought. In that case, barbecuing will not be permitted.
Do you rent out barbecues?
We do not rent out barbecues.

I would like to organise a party, is that possible?
We love a good party and would be happy to discuss the possibilities with you! It is possible to organise celebrations and parties for up to approximately 500 persons.
Does it need to be quiet at a certain time?
Yes! Out of respect for the night’s rest of our guests as well as the wildlife in the woodland, we expect silence on the park between 22:00 and 06:00. In some cases, music may be audible until approximately 00:00 due to a wedding taking place.

Can we hold meetings at your venue?
We have been voted the best training location in the North of the Netherlands twice. So yes, meetings are definitely possible! Please visit our website for the various arrangements.
Can I leave my luggage with you?
It is possible to drop off your luggage with us before you check in. Checking out but still want to enjoy the beautiful surroundings? You can leave your luggage at our reception. Please note that we are not liable for any damage and/or loss.
Are there rooms with air conditioning?
Our hotel rooms do not have air conditioning. Our villa rooms are equipped with air conditioning.
Is there a minibar or fridge in the hotel room?
These are not available in the rooms. Unfortunately, due to hygiene regulations, it is not possible to store products in our refrigeration.
Are the rooms cleaned daily?
Rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis as standard. This saves an enormous amount of water and soap, allowing us to do our bit for nature. Would you prefer a daily clean? No problem at all. Simply let our reception know.
Is room service available?
No. We believe in the power of connection and warmly invite you to join us in our restaurant.
Which meeting rooms are available and how many people do they accommodate?
Our website provides a clear overview of the various rooms, including their capacity.
Is technical support available during our meeting?
We are happy to help wherever we can. However, we do not have specialised staff in the field of light & sound.
What are the audio/visual options?
We have, among other things, a digital whiteboard and projectors with screens. We also have several microphones available.
Are coffee and/or tea facilities available?
Yes! You can enjoy fairtrade coffee and/or tea 24 hours a day.
